The Boorena

You walk into the arena to have the doors shut tightly behind you. The lighting, purposely dim and carefully placed, hides details that you will only be able to see once your eyes adjust to the darkness of the room. Maybe it’s the darkness that does not allow you to see the walls, but the place seems huge.
From the ceiling hung countless ropes, and at the end of each one there’s a doll, a plushie of sorts. They are all battered, mangled in some way, marked by time and dirty from years of neglect. They are as high as only inches away from the ceiling and unreachable, and as low as dragging against the floor and even bumping against you as you walk further into the arena. They all seem joyful watching your discomfort, and even at times they seem to want to grasp and cling as you unavoidably walk past them.

Once you are able to look past the gruesome display of dolls, your attention is taken by a lit area a bit ahead of your line of sight. There, a considerable sized pin is stuck into the ground, but not only that, but as you approach closer, you see that is also going through a small voodoo doll. This doll looks strangely like you, and even though there’s a massive object going through it, you feel nothing. Should you free it?
After a moment of hesitation you do, as you realize the meaning of this arena and the doll presented before you, but before you could consider what to do with the pin, you catch the message carved into the stone floor: “This does not belong here, but there..” with an arrow pointed to your opponent, where you can distinguish a set of similar objects for them.

OOC: In this arena you are given your doll to keep and protect, and a pin. The objective is to retrieve your opponent’s doll and stab through it with your pin to incapacitate them and win the match. Characters may chose to ignore this and go after their opponent to try and bring them down with other means, but regardless of the damage and pain caused, the arena will find the way to bring them back up on their feet to keep going.
Beware of the hanging dolls, as they are far from mere arena decoration.

The Aggrena

The circular door you crossed to get into this new arena closes behind you with a soft boop. Your heart skips a beat when you turn around and find no door, but your opponent’s face. No turning back, as to say.

In front of you spreads a seemingly infinite, irregular terrain of dark dirt and tall spikes made of faintly glowing crystal-like formations that grow from the very soil. The sky above, dark as the depths of a well, flickers with a flash of white every time a lightning hits one of the spikes with a deafening thunder.

On the top of the tallest crystal spike, an Eye hovers. It grows every time a thunder hits the peak, which is quite often.

“The first one to reach the Kunvet’Ke”, speaks your Host, Aggaeroth, as he appears in front of you, “will lose something precious: their bliss.”

A thunder echoes in the distance as the Kunvet’Ke, the Eye, grows. You realize you never noticed Aggie coming in; it was like those damned lightnings had impaired your senses while the flash lasted.

“The longer you take to get to it, the more powerful it will get and thus, the bigger your loss. How many things are out there that you would rather not know? Would you like to know if there’s life after death? If your best friend betrayed you?If you would be abandoned in the face of danger? The exact time of your death? If nobody will ever trully love you?”

The Ke, impatient, looks at you both.

“The first one to reach the Kunvet’Ke will know this all, if only for a split second. There will be no more solace in ignorance, and knowledge might be so powerful it might even fry their brain if the battle stretches on for too long. Don’t worry. It’s not like you will know EVERYTHING there is to know in the entire existence, but… but the little you glimpse, hoooh, you will remember. Oh, and of course. They also... win this round.”

A lightning hits the ground before them all, and when the blinding flash ebbs, Aggie is gone.

OOC: Your main objective is to reach the Eye before your opponent does. You may incapacitate them first, but the battle is not over until one of the participants has touched the eyeball. Once this happens, the character is subjected to a fierce flow of knowledge and is incapacitated. A storm is raging and the lightnings are as dangerous as your opponent, as the higher you get (the objective is in the highest peak), the higher the chance you'll be hit by one. This will result on your body being shocked and your mind becoming foggy.

Betting

For the duration of this event, we will allow any and all people (participants or not) to bet up to 100 ligts on each match! Should they bet on the winning horse, they will ~double~ their investment! If not, well, your ligts looked better in our pockets anyways.

If you’d like to bet, simply comment below with the name of the character, the amount of ligts that character would like to bet, and on which competitor! You can bet on as many match-ups as you want, though, no double dipping!

And, before you ask, yes, competitors can bet on themselves.

Happy gambling!
